Marginalised - to treat someone or something as if they are not important.
My images around the London estates. Trying to show (as in this one of a drain) the beauty in those that have been ignored and seen as not important.
And why are people marginalised? Because we decide that people can be valued in the same way as objects.
Which always leads to shame. Not only in those who are marginalised by others but also in those who see people in this way. Because if it can be decided that people can be devalued (in the same way as objects) then it could be their turn next. And if you can marginilise somebody it means that you don't value yourself just for being human.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
